All engraved glassware and decanters are non-returnable, non-refundable unless found to be defective of manufacture or an error has been made on the part of the engraver.
Open and inspect your package on arrival and report any damage within two days.
If glassware arrives broken we require that a good quality, in focus, photo of the broken glass with engraved area, and a photo of the inner and outer packaging be provided before replacement will be considered, assuming that insurance has been paid as part of shipping.
Alternatively we may require you to return the damaged item to us and upon its arrival we will determine if a replacement is sent and if return shipping is refunded.
International Shipping including to Canada and Mexico
We are happy to ship any of our items internationally.
Our shipping rates listed in our website are for Continental US. If you live outside of that area please contact us before you order and please read the following:
Unless other arrangements are made between Cobhthaigh Celtique and the purchaser, all shipments outside the US will be shipped via US Postal Service, Priority Mail International and insured for the value of contents.
Insurance coverage for merchandise is available to most, but not all, destination countries from the USPS (go to www.usps.com for information as to whether insurance is offered on packages mailed USPS to your country).
Insurance typically is available on Priority Mail International shipping only and not on First Class International shipping. If insurance is available, your package will be sent fully insured, unless you tell us in writing that you do not want to pay for PMI and insurance.
If insurance is not available to your country, or you negotiate with Cobhthaigh Celtique to ship First Class International shipping without insuring your package, you agree to take full risk and responsibility for your package delivery and not to hold Cobhthaigh Celtique accountable for your loss.
All items entering a foreign country are subject to customs inspection and assessment of duties, taxes, and fees in accordance with that country’s national laws. Customs duties and taxes are assessed, generally, if the item sent is dutiable and if the value of the item is above the threshold set by the country’s laws. If your country taxes the item you have purchased you are responsible for paying any taxes incurred with international shipments. Cobhthaigh Celtique is not responsible for payment of customs, duties, and taxes and we are not responsible for and have no control over delays caused by customs inspections at the destination.
If there is damage or breakage to the package contents, the following conditions must be met prior to replacement/s being resent.
A claim must be filed with the buyer/recipient’s local postal service. That means you must take the package in its entirety to your post office and allow your local postal department to do damage investigation. Local postal claim documentation must be sent to Cobhthaigh Celtique. That is the requirement of our postal service not Cobhthaigh Celtique.
We also will make a claim with USPS so a minimum of four photographs must be sent to Cobhthaigh Celtique. Please email or mail a minimum of two photographs showing an accurate portrayal of the outside of the package, and a minimum of two photographs showing an accurate portrayal of the damage or breakage to the inside package contents. If the recipient’s order contains engraved items, a minimum of one photograph must show the engraving from the broken item in the photo.
Once we have these items we will make a determination to send a replacement item. USPS confers with the postal service of your country and they decide if reimbursement will be made to us for the cost of the replaced item.
USPS in our experience with domestic and international shipping has a very good record on loss of packages.
If you do not have a secure, safe place to have a package left please request we send the package with Direct Signature Confirmation or as Registered Mail. Or alternatively arrange with your post office to hold the package at the post office until you can pick it up or be available for delivery.
If a package is lost or stolen, the following conditions must be met prior to replacement/s being resent.
A claim must be filed with buyer/recipient’s local postal service. The local postal claim documentation must be sent to Cobhthaigh Celtique by email or regular mail. Cobhthaigh Celtique will file a claim with the US Postal Service. A reasonable amount of time must be allowed for USPS and your postal department to investigate the missing package. USPS will confer with the postal service of your country and a decision will be made to send replacement items based on their determination.
If an item is not wanted after being received, we require that you send the item back to us for refund via an insured shipping method, in the original packaging, in new and unused condition. The amount refunded will be for the cost of the item/s only, minus a 10% restocking charge, and does not include original or return shipping costs.
Custom engraved glassware are non-returnable, non-refundable.
